WHO WE ARE

REACT DC was founded in September 2021 by professional military spouses and veterans with backgrounds in law, intelligence operations, military service, education, and nonprofit work. We came together to assist our Afghan allies in the midst of a humanitarian crisis. Guided by core principles of empathy, fidelity, and adaptability, we are now at the forefront of innovative resettlement support operations, leading national and DC metro area programs to pilot new delivery methods, fill key gaps, and improve outcomes for refugee populations.

OUR MISSION

REACT DC is a refugee resettlement agency supporting refugees, humanitarian parolees, asylees, and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) holders in Northern Virginia. We work at the ground level to empower newcomers to build independence and thrive in their new communities.

The Preferred Communities Program provides intensive, long-term case management and specialized services for refugees and ORR-eligible individuals with heightened vulnerabilities - such as serious medical needs, trauma, disability, or limited support systems - to support successful integration and stability in the U.S.
