Our Story

At REACT DC, World Refugee Day holds a special significance this year as we inaugurate our Reception and Placement office in Loudoun County. This day, observed annually on June 20th, serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength of millions worldwide who have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict, persecution, or violence.

Our expansion into Loudoun County is more than just the opening of a new office—it represents our steadfast commitment to providing essential support and assistance to refugees as they rebuild their lives in a welcoming community. Known for its diversity and inclusive spirit, Loudoun County is an ideal setting for us to expand our reach and continue empowering refugees on their journey to self-sufficiency and integration.

On World Refugee Day, we celebrate the invaluable contributions that refugees make to our society and honor their courage in overcoming adversity. By opening our new office, we aim to foster greater understanding and compassion within our community, ensuring that refugees receive the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

As we commemorate this day and the opening of our Loudoun County office, we reaffirm our dedication to standing in solidarity with refugees and creating a world where everyone can live with dignity and respect. Together, we can build a future where diversity is celebrated, and every individual has the chance to achieve their full potential.
